The Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) at the University of Helsinki invites applications for the positions of Doctoral Researchers in Human Genomics and Complex Disorders. They currently have 2 openings for doctoral researchers starting in October 2024 or as agreed. The appointed doctoral researchers will be supervised by Docent Rubina Tabassum.

They are seeking highly motivated doctoral researchers to work in the field of human genomics, with particular focus on lipidomics and metabolomics. The planned PhD project will focus on understanding the metabolic heterogeneity in complex disorders using integrative omics approach to provide better understanding of the complex disorders, new biomarkers, and potential approaches for targeted therapies. They utilize large-scale biobanks data including health data, genomics, lipidomics and metabolomics; and employ diverse computational and statistical tools to carry out integrative research to understand the complex interplay between metabolism and health.
