The Department of Pathobiological Sciences (PBS) in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position in the field of infectious diseases of animals and humans.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an independent, extramurally funded, nationally recognized research program. Competitive candidates may have a research emphasis on bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, prion biology, virology, or immunology at any relevant scale, from molecules to populations. Competitive candidates will also study novel approaches to combatting infectious diseases that threaten both animals and humans. Minimum requirements include a PhD and at least 2 years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
