Martin Lysák Research Group – Central European Institute of Technology are looking for a highly qualified bioinformatician or computational biologist with in-depth knowledge of comparative plant genomics. You are expected to contribute to research projects focused on in-depth analysis of chromosomal and genome evolution in the Brassicaceae family (crucifers, the mustard family) in the research group of Prof. Dr. Martin Lysak, www.plantcytogenomics.cz.

The group is one of the world's leading teams in the field of comparative and evolutionary genomics of the model plant family Brassicaceae. They are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist to perform family-wide analyzes and syntheses based on high-quality genome assemblies. The various topics studied in the group include ancestral genome reconstruction, subgenome-level analysis of diploidized polyploid genomes, (peri-)centromere structure and evolution, epigenetic changes and 3D interphase chromatin organization.
