Job: Group Leader in Molecular Cell Biology

Human Technopole is seeking two outstanding early-career scientists to establish their independent laboratory and research group at HT as a Group Leader. The successful candidate(s) should have a proven record of accomplishments in Molecular Cell Biology working across biological scales. Candidates with the potential to establish collaborations within and outside the institute will be particularly valued. Prior achievements in developing new experimental methods and technologies will also be highly regarded.
Proposals in the following fields of molecular cell biology are particularly welcome:
- Cell biology of metabolism (including cell metabolism regulation by organelles and metabolism in cell fate decisions) in adulthood and development.
- Cell biology of stem cells.
- Structural and functional interactions of nucleic acids with membrane compartments.
- Mechanobiology in human health and disease (including tissue morphogenesis in developing organs, cell migration, polarisation and proliferation).
Applications from candidates who are taking interdisciplinary approaches will be especially valued.
HT Research Group Leaders benefit from a competitive core support package that includes funds for staff, consumables, and access to Facilities and equipment, which can further be expanded by raising extramural funding. HT also provides access to a collaborative network within the Italian research community and close links to its scientific and industry partners.
